NEW YORK — There are concerns that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is disrupting the New York Attorney General’s investigation into allegations of wrongdoing against him.
His accusers are also concerned that he will influence the State Assembly’s separate impeachment investigation.
In the meantime, the Attorney General’s investigation continues. By the end of the week, investigators will have interviewed at least two prosecutors: Ana Liss and Charlotte Bennett. However, several state lawmakers are concerned about the governor’s influence over the investigation.
They said the governor’s office appears to be conducting its own review of sexual harassment allegations and is even offering lawyers to staff interviewed by the attorney general’s team.
State Senator Alessandra Biaggi of the Bronx and Westchester said this could be seen as an intimidation tactic.
