Let’s be honest: lawyers aren’t always the best at dealing with change. I’m not sure why that is – maybe it’s because our field is all about the importance of precedents, or maybe it’s because we are risk averse as a group – but for anyone who has a lot of time Having spent in the legal profession it’s hard to deny.

This is especially true of technology. Getting lawyers to introduce a new software program or other technological tool can be quite a challenge. Lawyers often avoid picking up new technology until they are absolutely forced to (e.g. learning how to use Zoom during the coronavirus pandemic).

This is why it is so valuable for lawyers to understand about change management – the processes, tools, and techniques used to manage the human side of change. If you want to learn more about change management, especially when it comes to adopting and implementing new technology, we are here to help.
