Kannada and Minister of Culture CT Ravi said CM BS Yediyurappa would present the awards on November 7th. Prizes include Rs 1 lakh in cash, 20 g gold medal and a quote.
Government to hold low-key event with limited guests
All award winners except athletes are over 60 years old. The winners were selected by a 25-person committee and ratified by a committee chaired by Yediyurappa.
Supreme Court attorney, Bhat, has been quoted numerous times in relation to the Sabarimala controversy, and has argued that beliefs and beliefs regarding opposition to women entering the temple cannot be challenged. Kodagu-based director Raghu has made films about Ambareesh and Tiger Prabhakar.
In selecting the RSS-related organizations, including the Yuva Brigade led by hardliner Chakravarthi Sulibele, the minister said there is no rule that right or left organizations should not be recognized for their contribution.
He said the ceremony will be a low-key affair due to the pandemic, with only 175-200 people invited, including the award winners and their family members. It is said that 100 people will sit on the ground floor and the rest on the balcony to maintain social distance.
