Karnataka: Mandir Legal professional Amongst Rajyotsava Prize Winners – Instances of India

BENGALURU: Kabaddi player Usha Rani, who won silver at the 2018 Asian Games, Kannada film director AT Raghu and Supreme Court attorney KN Bhat, who fought the Ayodhya Ram Mandir case on behalf of Ram Lalla Virajman, are among 60 people and five organizations from 25 fields selected for this year's Rajyotsava Awards.
The list announced on Wednesday shows that Karnataka took a leaf from the center's book by honoring unsung heroes.
Kannada and Minister of Culture CT Ravi said CM BS Yediyurappa would present the awards on November 7th. Prizes include Rs 1 lakh in cash, 20 g gold medal and a quote.
Government to hold low-key event with limited guests
All award winners except athletes are over 60 years old. The winners were selected by a 25-person committee and ratified by a committee chaired by Yediyurappa.
