Rajkot: Limdi police arrested 24-year-old Sufiyan Ghanchi, a resident of Kanbi Sheri in Limbdi city, Surendranagar district, on Tuesday in connection with a knife attack on a lawyer Batuk Patel, 57, in his office on Monday evening.
According to police, Sufiyan entered Batuk Patel’s office with a knife on Monday night and stabbed him twice before escaping the scene. According to police, it was an act of revenge for an old hostility over the disposal of solid waste of non-vegetarian food in an open area in the area.
Two months ago, Sufiyan and his uncle Yunus had a riot with a woman in Kanbi Shere and attacked her. Batuk Patel had played a key role in filing a complaint against Yunus and Sufiyan.
