Attorney Keshav Mohan, who has represented the Bihar government before the Supreme Court, passed away on Saturday morning in a hospital due to complications related to Covid, his family said.
Mohan, who was in his early 40s, is survived by his wife and two children.
Mohan, who was enrolled on the Delhi Bar Council after completing his LLB at the Delhi University Campus Law Center, was recently appointed as an additional permanent attorney to represent the Bihar government in the Supreme Court.
He had successfully justified the decision of the Bihar government to refer the case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput to the CBI before the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation for a CBI investigation into the FIR filed by Patput’s father in Patna, indicting the actor’s former girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and six others of various crimes, including suicide.
Mohan had appeared on behalf of the Sahara Group and its boss Subrata Roy in the Apex court on the matter in connection with a dispute between the company and the market regulator Sebi.
