Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni and his office staff adopted 40 children and gave them gifts valued at more than $ 8,000 this holiday season.
The prosecution has joined the Massachusetts Society’s project to prevent cruelty towards children. Employees received a wish list, shopped for items on the list, and wrapped the gifts, said James Leydon, spokesman for Gulluni.
The gifts were picked up by doctors from the association who are supposed to support the children. They were given to children who would likely receive little or no gifts on Christmas morning, he said.
“I am so proud of the many employees who have been so generous to these children. The children involved in this initiative come from difficult backgrounds and this gives them a joyful experience during the holiday season. More than ever, this season is all about that, ”said Gulluni in writing.
